Defence framework bears fruit for Lendlease 

Lendlease Construction Europe has been awarded three contracts for British Military services underneath a broader £5.1bn Ministry of Defence (MoD) framework.

The contractor stated at this time (5 July) that the offers, value a mixed £450m, have been procured underneath the Defence Property Optimisation (DEO) Military Programme by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO).

Lendlease will construct new lodging, workplace and coaching services and prolong current services at Imjin Barracks (pictured) in Gloucestershire, St David’s Barracks in Oxfordshire, and Beacon Barracks in Staffordshire.

“The entire works will goal to enhance the lived expertise of Military personnel and are centered on delivering a greater structured, fashionable and extra sustainable defence property,” Lendlease stated in a press release.

The contracts are a part of the MoD’s 10-year Strategic Alliance Contract, underneath which Lendlease and 6 different tier one corporations are delivering the design-and-build parts of the MoD’s 25-year DEO Portfolio programme.

Galliford Attempt, Graham, ISG, Kier, Laing O’Rourke and Morgan Sindall are the opposite main contractors concerned within the alliance.

Lendlease posted a pre-tax revenue of £11.9m from turnover of £509m in its latest annual results for the 12 months ending 30 June 2023.

Lendlease Building Europe managing director Simon Gorski cited his agency’s work with the MoD as one instance of “main public sector spend” from the federal government.
