Bam Building is on the lookout for a brand new northern regional director after incumbent John Phillips has retired.
Phillips began his profession as a civil engineer, working as a subcontractors’ web site agent, earlier than becoming a member of Bam in 1989. He led the development of the Leeds Enviornment (pictured) and different main initiatives, changing into director for the North East in 2015.
In a LinkedIn publish, Phillips mentioned retirement will “take some getting used to”, including a “fond goodbye to all the good folks I’ve labored with and met alongside the way in which”.
The now-former Bam govt added that he now has extra time to spend with grandchildren, on vacation and taking part in golf.
A spokesperson for Bam confirmed the resignation was not linked to the contractor’s plans to cut 40 jobs from its London and Northern offices – and that recruitment for a brand new northern director is now underway.
They added that Phillips leaves “with our good needs after an extended and valued profession with Bam”.
